One great day

The few weeks before I gave birth were the longest weeks of my life. I tried everything in he books to get her here. But I knew she wouldn't come until she was ready. Well, unfortunately that day didn't come. On February 2nd I went to the hospital to be induced. As of 9am I was only a 1. I knew right then that it was going to be a long day. I had to get 3 gel shots to help ripen the cervix before they could give me pitocin. It wasn't until about 8pm that I started to have contractions. By 10pm I couldn't take anymore of it. I had an epidural and let me tell you, they ROCK! They checked me 20 minutes after that and I was an 8. That sounded a lot more promising. By midnight I was a 9. Almost there! The nurse checked me again at 1:30am and said it was time to call the doctor!! I was so close that they didn't want me to push until the doctor got there. Well she came and a little after 2am I started pushing. They had to do an episiotomy. Thankfully I didn't feel anything cause Michael said they did a pretty good job. After only 20 minutes of pushing, Hadlee Brooke arrived! February 3 at 2:27am our angel came. She weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces and was 21 inches. She was healthy and happy. I'll never forget the feeling I had when they put her in my arms. It was love at first sight. She was absolutely beautiful. I was so lucky to have such an easy pregnancy and then an easy labor and delivery! I definitely won't mind doing it again. We couldn't be happier to have her here!
